We did some last minute scrambling for the Tournament site this week and appreciate the support and follow through of all the Tour bowlers who helped to make Saturday such a great day at Bowlero!  We thought that the slightly higher scores at our last visit to Bowlero, might have been a fluke... they weren't.  The scores weren't extremely high this week, but the 'Cut-Line' did get higher (949) and we had 1000s shot in every squad.  The Jackpot got plenty of attention, starting in the 1st Squad when Thang Duc Thai strung 6 Taps in the middle of his game, #7 would be worth $500.00 and it looked good... too good, he got all 10, leaving the Consolation to go to Michael Wittig & Cal Fisher who shared $100.00 for their front 4 Taps.

Throughout the day, we had 3 different leaders and each of the 3 were chasing their 1st Tour Titles.  Blake Lord-Wittig held the lead for the first 2 squads, with a great 1043 which is usually enough for a Win.  Blake topped his previous best series by 42 pins, with 4 strong games.  He ended up in 3rd for the second time this year, worth a nice $448.00.  In the 3rd squad, Bill Jones took the lead, shooting an awesome 1066 and looked like a 'shoe in' for his first Win.  Bill was just 13 pins short of his best Tour series, adding to his many 2nd & 3rd Place finishes with another 2nd, worth a hefty $859.00.  Scott Fulp & Thang Duc Thai also shot excellent 1040s in the first squad and hung on for a 4th Place tie.

Rose Hudson made the trip over the pass from Ephrata (near Moses Lake),as she has many times since joining the Tour in March 2015.  In the 4:30 squad, she started finding the shot, so she re-entered at 6:30 to try again.  Rose shot well in her first 3 games, but still needed to shoot her biggest game ever to have a chance to Win.  She only needed 11 strikes (needed 295 scratch)... amazingly she got ALL TWELVE to shoot her first 9-Tap 300 game on the Tour for a Spectacular Win, by just 6 pins.  When the smoke cleared, she'd also shattered her All-Time Best series by 53 pins.  She didn't actually know that she had a shot enough to Win, but really wanted that 300 game, admitting that she was very nervous.  Friend and supporter Jodey Rees did his best to encourage her and keep her on track and he seemed even more excited with her finish.  Rose wore her Dexter SST8 shoes and uses nothing but STORM Balls.  Saturday it was her Compete Domination, drilled by Alan Cook in Kennewick, where she also does her League bowling.  Rose works for Great NW Transport, but also enjoys a slower mode of transportation... riding her horses.  CONGRATS on Win #1 Rose.
