After a long hiatus, the Tour returned to Acme Bowl at Southcenter on Saturday with earlier squad times and a 3-game format which earned high praise from many of our bowlers.  In fact, our early 10 O'clock squad had exactly 1/4 of the 116 total entries for the day, so thanks to everyone for getting out early! 

Erma Tappe, living up to the name, earned herself $250.00 for hitting the front five 9-Taps and also made the Cash List in 15th Place for another$90.00!  Nice shooting, Erma!  The Jackpot continued its climb, jumping to$5,198.00 for next week at Kenmore Lanes. 

The Thai Brothers, Thang & Huyen had a stiff competition as they bowled all day trying to beat each other...It was Thang who first posted a 785 series to lead, not only Huyen, but the entire field after the first squad.  Then it was Huyen who returned the favor by shooting 789 to steal away the lead by just four pins.  In the end, however the two settled on 3rd Place for Huyen and 4th Place for Thang.  Great job! 

As we had fairly moderate scoring all day, only our Champ was able to break 800 as the 'Cut-Line' had Pearl Sedeno at 713.  Roland Jarata struggled earlier in the day, but was able to come on strong, posting 793 with three VERY solid games of 233-252-254 (scratch).  Roland finished in 2nd Place this week, earning $977.00 with his 6th Top Five finish this year.  Way to go, Roland! 

For the second straight week, the Bob Rouse 'Express Train' continued to rollafter being out of steam and off the tracks for a few years...After winning Title #6 last week at Pacific Lanes, Bob was back at it this week to get his 7th as he got lined up after reentering and finished the day 288-300 (scratch) for an incredible 839 series!  The 300 game was his first in quite some time and the 288-300 finish was his best EVER two game stretch.  Bob earned$2,194.00 and cashed in on those two scratch games as well for another $250.00 from the Scratch Pot.  Rouse wore hisDexter Shoes and said that the Red 'Sun Storm' ball he used is 30 years old!  Bob rarely reenters, but after winning last week, he said "I bowled three times and had A LOT of LUCKY strikes."  Bob wanted to thank Tong Nguyen, Jon Schneider & his biggest cheerleader of the day, Bill Jones for rooting him on.  Congratulations again, Mr. Rouse, it's been quite awhile since we've had a back to back Champ!
