Another overhyped weather forecast coupled with The Seahawks Playoff game made for a somewhat disappointing turnout for our 2017 Kickoff Doubles Tournament at Roxbury Bowl on Saturday.  The good news is that the Hawks won impressively, the down side is that what's become a trend lately with our local weather forecasting for bad weather not becoming a reality and actually affecting turnout.  

 

Doubles means 'Multi-Cash' opportunities and this week we had NINE bowlers who took advantage with Andy Snow, Skip Shear, Donna Columbo, Thang Duc Thai & Earl Kleist all cashing FIVE times with 'Mr. Roxbury' himself, Walt Dalrymple hitting the list four times.  

 

Taking the Title this week was the Krisha Naff/Andy Snow tandem, both earning their 2nd Tour Titles as they fired a 1025 edging out the Skip Shear/Tim Fierro duo by ONE pin!  It doesn't get any closer than that!  As they both departed Roxbury early, we weren't able to get much information from them as our newsletter headed to press.  We're fairly certain that Andy used his new 'Storm' ball which he earned for being the Top Qualifier in the recent 2016 'Year-End Championship' and for Krisha, her 2nd Title comes just just a little bit more than five months after her first.  Andy also teamed up with Walt Dalrymple to earn 3rd Place and he cleaned up in the Scratch Pot as well, earning an additional $100.00!

 

Earl Kleist hit the front 4 9-Taps to take home the year's first Jackpot consolation and $100.00.  The Jackpot jumped over the $3k mark to $3,096.00 for next week at Pacfic Lanes.
