Wrap Up
Sadly, the Seahawks season is over, but the good news is that the 2017 bowling season is now in full swing!  It's time for everyone to get their 9-Tap Tour season going and with the 'Bowler of the Year' competition WIDE OPEN early on, we're hoping to challenge everyone to make it a close race this year!

With the aforementioned Seahawks playing for a second straightSaturday and smack in the middle of the competion, turnout again suffered but with a somewhat surprising late surge, we did manage 78 entries with 15 on the Cash List with the Cut-Line at 936.  Perhaps only (original Tour Member) Mick Hodge would remember the last time the Tour had a winner in our regular 4-game format where the Top score did not break 1000...

...We mentioned Mick because it was him, 95 Tournaments and 26 months ago when he shot 992 and won at Skyway Park Bowl onNovember 1st, 2014.  Oddly enough, on that day we also had a rare 2nd Place tie between Will Cotton & Roland Jarata.  And we say "Oddly enough" because this week was very similar as Shane Thompson & Huyen Thai wound up in a 2nd Place tie, both shooting 975 with Ashley Kochel winding up just off the podium with a 974 and Martin McElroyat 970, just behind her in 5th.  Scoring and competition was so tight on Saturday that just 59 pins separated 1st Place from the Cut-Line!  Great shooting everyone!

Thompson & Thai's performance netted them $568.00 each and it was Thai along with Michael Leemoui & Bob Rouse who all three managed the Front 3 9-Taps settling for $25.00 each which took only $75.00 from the Jackpot allowing it to GROW to $3,316.00 for next week!

Samson Ibale shot the Top Score this week as he fired 995 and earned his Tour Record 21st Title!  With the $1,638.00 pay day, Samson jumped his Career Earnings to over $65,000.00.  Additionally, Ibale earned another $150.00 from the Scratch Pot and with #21 in the books now, we're running out of words for our Newsletter to talk about him.  Great shooting Samson and Congratulations on another win!

Quick 'SHOUT OUT' to Tour Member's Paul & Barb Rosengren who, on Saturday, celebrated their 31st Wedding Anniversary along with Paul's 68th birthday!  Barb recently celebrated her 69th birthday on December 19th and what could be a better birthday present for Paul than to hang out with his darling wife on their special day?
