As we mentioned earlier in the week, we wanted to open up the scoring a bit for everyone, making it 'Just Right' for our 'Best 3 of 4' format atNarrows Plaza Bowl on Saturday.  Well, Bowlers gave us a lot of upbeat  feedback about our tweak to the lane conditions and the proof was in the scores with a very balanced 'Cash List' from top to bottom, including  our Top 3 this week representing the High, Middle & Lower handicap groups.  The 'Cut-Line' wound up at 746 with 19 making the list,

 

Five bowlers earned $40.00 each by hitting the front four 9-Taps as we handed out $200.00 in Jackpot money to Oz Green, Samson Ibale, Pat Riley, Donnie Roberts & Cecil Abay-Abay.  The 9-Tap Jackpot is now over$3,500.00 as with the Multi-Region Tournament in Las Vegas on tap next, we take a bit of a hiatus in Puget Sound and we'll returnFebruary 11th at Skyway Park Bowl. Also, Congrats to Magic Bristol & Andy Snow for their Scratch Pot wins, Magic for high series and Andy for high game.

 

This week's Top 10 was actually 12 with the 3-way tie in the 10th spot as this dynamic dozen were separated by just 56 pins!  Bobby McKenzie brought his 'A' game by firing an impressive 799, earning the #3 spot and $381.00.  Will Cotton hadn't cashed since last October at Daffodil Bowlwhere he finished in 3rd Place...All that Will did this week was shoot a300 game on his way to an incredible 815 series, finishing in 2nd, missing out on his 2nd Title by 7 pins with a late errant shot.  Will later posted on Facebook that he felt better about his game, saying, "...2nd Place, I'll take it!".

 

The Tour's Newest and 1st-Time Champ is none other than the 'HumanCanvas', AKA: Shane Thompson!  For those unfamiliar with Shane, we say 'Human Canvas' because he has a few tattoos, well, scratch that, he has LOTS of tattoos!  Shane has been on The Tour for almost three years and has come close before with 10 previous Top-10's, including TWO 3rd's & TWO Runner-Ups.  This week, Shane put it all together as he shot 822, earning that elusive 1st Title and $1,666.00!  Shane used his Hammer Black Widow 'Assassin' ball drilled by Robert Kelley from Secoma Lanes.  Shane was very humble about his win, giving much of the credit to his husband,Rick Thompson (who placed 16th himself) along with his "teammates"Magic Bristol, Pam Sims & Barb Rosengren who kept him focused.  Shane & Rick will be joining us in the Multi-Region Tournament in Las Vegas next week and Shane has some extra spending money for the trip!  Great bowling, Shane!  All of us couldn't be happier for you!
