With the 'Best 3 of 4' format in play this week at HiLine Lanes, our 1st & 2nd Place finishers (Gomer Braganza & Huyen Thai) took full advantage, throwing out 149 & 160 games, respectively...Meanwhile, to the other extreme, in 3rd Place, Chris Stout had to throw out a 245 game for his top Tour performance thus far.  Huyen's 802 was one of just two scores over 800 (both shot in the 1st Squad) and earned him $922.00.  

Jackpot Nearly Popped again, Gomer Wins!

Not only did Gomer Braganza take the Top spot this week, heflirted with hitting the 9-Tap Jackpot and actually had the 'Golden 7th Shot' at $943.00!  Gomer did strike on the 7th shot but his strike was a 10-pinner!  Just after that, Jeremy Truitt finished a game by getting 9-taps on hisFINAL 8 shots! Unfortunately, the 'Middle 7' does not pay unless the Jackpot is over $4,000.00.  Don't feel sorry for Gomer as he did get the $250.00 consolation prize and went on to win the Tournament with the Top score for the day of 810!  Braganza made $2,055.00 for the win which was his 2nd Career Title.  He told us that he wore his Dexter SST8 shoes and used his Storm 'Lock' AND Hy-Road balls to get the win!  Jeff Miller from Mt Vernon is apparently a major secret weapon as he drills Gomer's equipment for him.  HiLine's own Pat Johns along with Ron Hoppe are two more of Gomer's go to guys for expertise and coaching.  As his winning score was posted in the 1st Squad, Gomer's expectations were "Really low", he said and added "I felt lucky but didn't expect that I'd be on top all the way so I was very nervous until the end!"  Good Job, Gomer! 

Title Shirts, CA$H and Awards Handed Out!

As we previously mentioned, last week Andy Snow hit the Jackpot for $2,893.00 and this week, because he was bowling in the State Tournament, he was unable to bowl with us...However, Andy did pop in to pick up his Jackpot winnings. Congrats again!  

Also honored this week was Jenna Halverson who earned 'Rookie of the Year' honors for 2016 but moved to Texas late last year. Saturday, she was back in town visiting, so she bowled with us and we were able to give her the plaque we'd been holding on to for 4+ months.  Great to see you again, Jenna and safe travels back to Texas! 

We presented Duane Benn his Champion's shirt for his 1st Career Win at Secoma Lanes on 4/2 and we also honored James Black,Earl Kleist and Rollie Abella. James for joining the '$30,000 Club', Earl for becoming just the 2nd Member of the '$50,000.00 Club' and Rollie now a member of the '$20,000.00 Club'.Congrats!!!
