We could probably chalk Saturday into the 'Odd', 'Strange' or maybe even 'Mysterious' category, but one cannot argue with the Excitement on Tour over the past few weeks!  As we mentioned above, the Jackpot was hit for a second straight week, could next week make it three straight?  

 

Scores were on the low side all day long even though we didn't make any changes to the oil pattern from our previous visit back in March.  Was it the warmer, humid weather conditions outside that made the shot play signficantly different from last time?  Perhaps, but it was the earlier, smaller Squads that made most of the noise, yielding some of the larger scores for the day.  Huyen Thai's 979 held its ground in the Top Spot nearly all-day and it looked like we would have one of the lowest winning scores in quite some time...That is until Ajay Jarata went on his impressive tear to a 1060 series....Yes, that's 81 pins clear of Huyen's 2nd Place 979, 83 clear of 3rd Place Dex DeCastro's 977 and 84 clear ofPatrick Dennis and his 4th Place 976!  Huyen pocketed $899.00 for his Runner-Up finish while Dex earned $469.00.  By earning $230.00 this week, Dennis joins elite company in The '$20,000.00 Club'.

How about the fact that 50% of this week's 'Cash List' were Re-Entries?  This is not only rare but proves that the conditions were better suited for the bowlers who could capitalize on adjustments made in their first try.

 

Getting back to our latest Champ, Ajay whose Mom, Emma is normallynot on hand to root for him or his Dad, Roland because she has to work most Saturday's...Well, she was there this week and was nervously on the edge of her seat as Ajay wound down his winning series.  Ajay himself has to work most Saturday's, but this week he claimed his 4th Career Title which is also his first Win since May of 2013!  Ajay credits his Dad and Coach,Roland Jarata along with Mom, Emma and the "9-Tap Tour Crew" and "All of my friends that cheered for me."

 

Ajay earned $1,997.00 for the win using his Storm 'IQ' ball drilled atSkyway Park Bowl but didn't share his plans for spending the money!
