It's gonna be tough to put it all into words and capture all of the happenings at Roxbury Bowl from Saturday, BUT...I'm gonna give it my best effort...

 

First, let's talk about Judy Robbins!  Not only did Judy finish 8th, just  14 pins from a Title, she got everyone excited (especially her husband Pat) as she hit the front 6 9-taps and had the 'Golden' shot at the HUGE Jackpot!  You can see the result by clicking on the photo and although she missed, she did nab $750.00 consolation!  Judy was disappointed to say the least, but we congratulate her for a great run!                      

 

Now, let's talk about 'Mr Roxbury', Walt Dalrymple.  Walt seems to always shoot his best at Roxbury and this week it was no different as he finished 5th!  Walt has Three Career Titles and two of them were at...yes, you guessed it!  ROXBURY! He was just 7 pins from another title and is now a member of the '$10,000.00 Club'.  Nice shooting, Walt!

 

Storyline #4 is about the Ladies!  With a total of 24 bowlers on the 'Cash List', EIGHT of them were Ladies!  Three of those EIGHT were first time Cashers and two of the three were Lani Hanato-Figueredo  and Makenzye Ganwich who tied for 12th Place just 33 pins out of the Top Spot.  Nice shooting Girls!

 

James Black and Patrick Dennis tied for 3rd Place, just FOUR pins from glory!  James, was after his 4th Title and Patrick was shooting for his 6th!  Black also is closing in on the '$25,000.00 Club' as he needs just over $400.00 more while Dennis is close to the '$20,000.00 Club' as he is just shy of $300.00 of the mark.  Well done Gentlemen!

 

One of 2016's hottest bowlers on the Tour has been Herbie Wilson as this week's 2nd Place finish is his 3rd Top 2 finish of the still very young year as he was after his 3rd Title.  Herbie earned $838.00 this week and is determined to keep his roll going!  Great shooting, Mr Wilson!

 

Finally, we get to the story of our Newest and 1st-Time Champ, JennaThompson!  What a performance and, as you can tell, she needed nearly every one of her 798 'Best 3 of 4' Series to get it done!  Jenna entered in all three squads and said "I really needed the warm up from the first two squads and felt GREAT in the 3rd squad and my game picked up!"  Jenna was using her "16-lbs" Storm 'Crux' which Norm from Kent Bowl drilled for her.  

 

Jenna's hobbies include bowling (of course) and she plays and coaches (fast pitch) softball.  With her $1,422.00 winner's share, she says that she plans on "Spoiling my kiddos"  Jenna would like to thank her Husband, Andy and friends Ron & Lisa King for cheering her on!  Congratulations, Jenna!  Great Job!

 

Next week the Tour heads to Secoma Lanes where we will have some big bucks on the line as the 9-Tap Jackpot remains HUGE at $7,875.00 while the Progressive Pot made a BIG jump to $2,282.00!  Please make plans to come early as for the final squad, we will limited to fewer lanes.
