Our 11th Annual Veterans Day Tournament came with a Great Turnout and more than half of the 23 'Cashers' are Veterans!  With a record $2,055.00 in the Vets Pot we were able to pay 5 Spots with Jamie Nazario taking Top Honors with a 318 (High Handicap Game), followed by Rick Thompson's  308, Willie Downing's  301, Jason Collins'  300 and Isaac Joseph's  295.  See their Military photos and dollar amounts on the right side of this message!  Margie also managed sneak in a late in the day photo of Jamie & Jason after receiving their Vet's Day Pot Money!

As we mentioned in last Wednesday's Newsletter, Paradise has a new Ownership Group and a brand new oil machine.  With a new oil machine comes a new challenge for us to provide an oil pattern comparable or close to what we have had in the past...We feel that we did a pretty good job but we did wind up with a little bit higher scoring.  Chuck Hufford pounded the pocket for 1060 and a 3rd Place Finish pocjeting $300.00.  Chuck's traditional $0 in the Progressive Pot brings our Pro Pot to over $2,000.00 for the FIRST time since we at Daffodil on June 4th!  In 2nd Place, knocking on the door again was Jamie Nazario who shot 1104, a score that would normally give him his first title...Jamie's Runner-up check for $834.00, coupled with his 1st Place Finish in the Vets Pot, gives him $1,450.00 on the day.  Not bad at all, Jamie!  Brian Kuykendall has bowled on the Tour for Four years and has raised his average by 22 pins since then.  Saturday, Brian was able to put it all together as he earned his 1st Career Title by shooting a nearly flawless 1172 series!  Brian credits Cheryl Schultz for cheering him on while not having a bad day herself, finishing in 5th with a 1044!  Brian also said that he wanted to thank Mike Kelly and Jeff Knapp for their expertise and coaching, adding that Knapp (from Kenmore Lanes Pro Shop) drilled his Storm 'Lock'.  Brian's 1st Tour Title will likely be even more memorable for him as it came on a special day, as we celebrated our Veterans!  Congrats, Brian!
