You've no doubt heard us say many times that the 'Best 3 of 4' Format is popular because it allows everyone to throw out that one bad game, right?  Well this one was no different as we had another Super Saturdayat HiLine Lanes with three very evenly balanced squads, 115 total entries and an EXTRA Casher due to a tie in the last postion.  The 'Cut-Line' at 731 shows us that the scores were again, right on target.  Five bowlers topped the 800 mark as Donna Columbo started off the day in the lead after one squad with her impressive 802 and wound up in 5th!  Pearl Sedeno apparently has the secret at HiLine as she won there just a short three weeks ago and had intentions of going back to back (at HiLine), firing an 816 which wound up being good for 4th Place. Well done, Donna & Pearl!

 

Midway through the day, we had a six-way tie at 3 taps for the Jackpot Consolation as Jeff Armour was extremely pleased to get his name on the board for the first time!  He even took a picture after the fact, even though he knew that someone had hit the front four knocking him out of contention.  That 'someone' turned out to be FIVE someone's as in the final squad Cecil Abay-Abay, Ganny Angeles, Shawn Jeglum, James Strand and Roland Jarata ALL hit the front four, earning $40.00 each!  The 9-Tap Jackpot jumped nicely to $2,417.00 for our next tournament IN TWO WEEKS at Narrows Plaza Bowl.

 

Talk about HOT...Chris Fly wound up in 3rd Place overall as he fired an 823, earning himself a nice $451.00 while our Runner-up, Samson Ibaletook 2nd Place and $901.00 along with another $240.00 from the Scratch Pot.  Well done Chris & Samson!

 

The story of the day was Ganny Angeles as he earned his 3rd CareerTitle, coming all the way back from some heart complications last year which limited his ability to even bowl!  Ganny proved that he's back as he lit it up with a crazy 859 series and he managed this in just his first three games, making his final game more of a victory lap.  Ganny's Title makes him the 69th Tour Member to join 'The $10,000.00 Club' as he earned $2,003.00 this week.  We hear it all the time when bowlers tell us that today is their day and sometimes it turns out to be the case, Ganny was spot on as he predicted victory for himself when he first arrived to bowl!  Ganny said he was "Excited, calm and in the zone" during his run for the Title and credited Charlyne, James & Herme for cheering him on!  Congratulations, Isagani!

 

Saturday also marked the FINAL day of the '2016 Bowler of the Year'competition so stay tuned for those final results which we will have for you at our 'Year End Tournament' on December 17th at Bowlero Lanes.
