Our annual Mom's Day Special found us at Bowlero Lanes for a day filled with some great bowling and and another down to the wire finish! With 106 entries and 21 Bowlers making another very competitive and diverse Cash List, 932 wound up being the 'Cut-Line' after having hovered at 935 through the first three squads.  Mike Ducay was the guy on that line, squeaking into that final cash spot.

 

Our Annual Mom's Day Pot paid out three spots as the Tour kicked in $200.00 of the $280.00 total.  Divina Novelo was in the Top Spot with a309 (w/hdcp) game, earning herself $140.00 and bragging rights for a whole year!   There was a tie for 2nd place between Donna Columbo &Jenna Thompson as they both shot 270 games, earning $70.00 each. Congratulations, Ladies and Happy Mother's Day to all you awesome Mom's out there!

 

The 9-Tap Jackpot again had no real threats, but Paul Mann and Mike Ducay each hit the front 4 taps for $100.00 each.  Both the Jackpot and Progressive Pots made jumps this week and are at $7,856.00 & $2,046.00, respectively for next week at HiLine Lanes.

 

Dan Grass has been hot lately as he joined Gary Van Ness in a 3rd Place tie this week as they both shot 976, earning $297.00 each.  You may recall that two weeks ago, Grass broke 1000 TWICE at Kent Bowl!  This week makes for Dan's second 3rd Place finish in three weeks as he continues to chase his first title.  Van Ness was chasing his 4th Career title and had been struggling so far this year as this is his first cash of 2016.  Welcome back to the Cash List, Gary!

 

After more than five years on the Tour, Steve 'Pops' Bowyer is now a 9-Tap Tour Champion!  Saturday it all came together for Pops as he had just turned 73 earlier in the week (Tuesday) and brought his 'A' game by shooting a very consistent set of games (230-230-232-204) to shoot a 1040 total score earning his way to a $1,404.00 pay day!  Pops does all of his bowling in three different leagues at Secoma Lanes and his good friend, Jimmy Smith from Narrows Plaza Bowl handles all of his drilling needs.  This week Mr. Bowyer used his Storm 'IQ Tour Fusion' and said that he had no nerves but had his own little cheering squad on his pair of lanes.  Pops wanted to thank Bruce Gorr & Kathy Johnson along with his daughter, Lynn for cheering him on.  Pop's success isn't the first on Tour for the Bowyer family as his other daughter, Mai-Lee (Bowyer) Coddington has two tour Titles.  When asked about his plans for the Ca$h, Pops said that he's hiding it from the "Dragon Lady" and might use it as part of a potential down payment on a vacation condo down in the Phoenix area near Bruce & Kathy's place.  Congrats Pops, Happy For Ya!
