Ridiculously stormy weather in the Puget Sound area obviously kept some bowlers away on Saturday as the Tour stopped at Roxbury Bowl.  However, several bowlers made lengthy treks including Rich Livingston (& family) from Mt Vernon, Judy Buchanan, Ron Rice & Chuck Gonsalez (& family)  from Yakima, along with Greg Hector from Moses Lake.  The weather also had a 'humidity effect' to Roxbury's normal moderate scoring as we believe to be a record TEN bowlers were able to top the 1000 mark.  This week's 'Cut-Line' was on the high side at 948 as 20 bowlers made the Cash List. 

Donna Columbo & Tong Nguyen both took full shares of $100.00 by hitting the front 4 Taps while Bill Jones & Will Cotton both tapped from the 4th thru 11th frames, each narrowly missing the 'Middle 7' with 'real' strikes in the 6th & 7th frames, respectively.  With that, the 9 Tap Jackpot jumps to $6,608.00 while the Progressive Pot also was on the rise and is just below the $2,000.00 mark for next week at Bowlero Lanes. 

The number of Members reaching the $10,000.00 CLUB has exploded recently with a few more joining the Club in the last two weeks. CONGRATS to Matias Oriza!  Last weeks 3rd Place finish moved him into the $10,000.00 CLUB with his earnings up to $10,155.00. 

1st Place - Walt Dalrymple

Many times when someone posts a big score in the 1st Squad of the day, they acquire the proverbial 'target' on their back.  Some choose to stick around to see if their score holds up, others might opt to bowl again anyway while others leave and hope, maybe even pray!  This week it was Walt Dalrymple, who not only topped the 1000 mark, but annihilated it, posting a rare 1100+ score with easily a Career Best 1133!  Walt is a great example of someone who breaks out of a slump (by virtue of his 4 bonus pins) with an unexplicably 'White Hot' performance.  No one can really explain the phenomenon of how bowlers can get into such a 'Zone' as Walt did this week, but we see it over and over again and much of the time it occurs when least expected. 

Walt used his Storm 'Lock' ball and amazingly enough, he had it drilled about an hour or so before showing up to bowl.  Stopping by Secoma Bowl before heading to Roxbury might have been out of the ordinary but not for Walt as Robert Kelly drilled the ball, then Peter Somoff gave him a short and what turned out to be very good lesson!  Walt wanted to thank Robert & Peter as well as his lane mates, Judy Buchanan & Ron Rice.  This was Walt's 3rd Tour Title as he earned $1,936.00, closing in on also joining the $10,000.00 CLUB with earnings now at $9,520.00. Great bowling, Walt! 

2nd Place - Chuck Hufford

Chuck came ever so close to his 3rd Title with what would normally be a winning score of 1062 if not for a slight hiccup in his 3rd game.  Chuck becomes the newest member of the $10,000.00 CLUB with earnings now reaching $10,430.00.  With $0 in the Pro Pot, Chuck limited this payday to $500.00 but we're fairly sure he has no regrets...Nice work, Chuck! 

3rd Place - Dan Elliott

Dan made a run great run at the Top Spot in the Final squad with a very nice 1037 and a $454.00 check.  With four very steady games, none over 241 (scratch), Dan found himself in a 'Zone' as well but found out, like everyone else...Walt's score was out of reach on this day.  Way to go, Dan!
