Imperial Lanes - Seattle, WA
March 21st, 2015
Total Paid Out: $7,152.00
![]() We had to go back 7 visits and over two years to February of 2013 in order to find a larger turnout at Imperial Lanes when Rick Jack took home his 2nd Title. With 120 Entries and filling the house in our final two Squads, 24 Bowlers made the Cash List this week setting up what's sure to be a Super '$1,000.00 Added' 1st Quarter Championship next week at Secoma Lanes. The long history of moderate scoring at Imperial held true on Saturday as a 929 Cut-Line was right in line with previous visits where it was at 929 & 923. This week's 3rd place score of 1033 exactly equaled the actual winning score of our last two visits to Imperial. However, TWO of the Tour's seasoned veteran's got very HOT, topping that score, showing the younger generation how to do it...
Willie Downing broke out of a 'Dry Spell' of sorts on Saturday but we
don't want you to feel TOO sorry for Willie as he took advantage of his 5 Bonus Pins while shooting in the 2:30 Squad and fired a Blazing1080 series and, in doing so, earned the coveted '5-Time Champions Retro Shirt'. Willie, a Vietnam Veteran and Original (#58) Tour Member, joined the Tour WAY back in 2002 and Everyone can thank Willie for having just the $10.00 in the Progressive Pot this week because, as a result, The Pot will be HUGE for next week (details to come).
Willie has somewhat of a tradition when he checks in for each Tournament as he tells the Margie & Lynn that he's "Here to donate!" Again, don't feel TOO sorry for him because his $1,560.00 in winnings this week put him at $16,187.00 in Career Earnings despite a number of Top 3 finishes with less than the full amount in the Pro Pot. Willie is part of another piece of Tour History as his 1st Title remains the only time that we've had a 3-Way Tie for 1st Place. Willie used his Blue Hammer, drilled by Robert Kelly from Peter Somoff's Pro Shop atSecoma Lanes and says that it was a "Lucky day for me, I was in sort of a zone for a change". Willie said that he'll buy new bowling equipment and save the rest of his winnings for a Carribean Cruise next January! Awesome Bowling, Willie!
Mike Ducay on a 'Hot Streak'
Mike Ducay
Can anyone argue about how HOT Mike Ducay has been lately? Mike won his 5th Career Title exactly a month ago and all he did Saturday was set himself up for another win! With the end in sight, needing a couple of more strikes, Mr. Ducay was derailed by an untimely split late in his final game and had to settle for an awesome 1052 & 2nd Place. The$948.00 pay day puts Mike at $24,859.00 in Career earnings. Etse Finishes Like a Champ!
Finishing in 3rd Place this week is Bronson Etse. Many of you will recall a couple of weeks ago when we said a temporary goodbye to the Active Duty Army Soldier who was being sent overseas for a year? Well, his 'Trip' was put on hold for the time being and all he did Saturday was throw his first Tour 300 in the 4th & final game for that 1033 series, notching the 3rd Spot and $499.00. Pots HUGE, Big Turnout Expected for Next week's TWO-DAY Event!
CHECK SQUAD TIMES!!!
Rafael Jandusay stands alone this week by hitting the front 4 Taps, taking home the $100.00 9-Tap Jackpot Consolation prize. As we head to Secoma Lanes next week the Pots are HUGE! The Jackpot jumped up to $7,264.00while the Progressive Pot is at $2,586.00! This means that there is great potential for some HUGE payouts! HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE! Squad Times are:
Qualify by Squad on Saturday 12:00, 2:30 & 5:00 PM
Squads combine for Qualifying on Sunday at 10:00 AM & 12:00 PM
Finals begin on Sunday at 2:00 PM
