Wrap Up
Wind... Rain... Snow... No problem!  So said the Yakima gang (Mick, Denise, Judy & Ron) who made the trip over the mountains.  Ron even Cashed, with Judy & Mick just missing by 4 pins & 14 pins.  The food was GREAT and we Thank Skyway for the 1/2 price special!  The scoring range was exactly as advertised, with a very reachable Cut Line of 704 and 3 bowlers topping the 800 mark.  Since the Tournament Winner had $10 in the Progressive Pot, it makes a large jump to $2,092.00 for next week.  The 9-Tap Jackpot also makes a nice jump to $2,232.00, thanks to just 4-Taps taking the Consolation this week. Divina Novelo & Bob Berryman shared the $100 Bonus for their 4 Taps.

Champion Dewey Domaoan made his comeback from shoulder surgery a Triumphant Return, earning his first career Title!  He first joined the Tour in April 2011, but a bad shoulder forced him out of competition in 2012.  He'sbeen using a lighter ball while trying to get his bowling back on track.  His friend Roland Jarata still had to 'twist his arm' to get him to bowl this week.  Dewey had the same misconception that many other bowlers have... he was convinced that he didn't have enough handicap to compete.  So, we add another bowler to the long list of bowlers who can attest that, "When you get HOT, you WIN", the secret wasn't handicap.  Dewey got into a groove at Skyway and never looked back.  His first game was his throw-out game, followed by three straight strong scores, topped by a high scratch game of 267.  If we counted all four of his games, he still would have won with a super 1045 series.  He used his new Storm 'Reign Supreme', drilled by Ed Dolfay at Skyway, for his impressive Win.  Since he was just coming back, Dewey was limited to a maximum of $10 in the Pro. Pot, which held down his winnings to a still sweet $1,379.00.  But, that also creates a Bonanza for next weeks Progressive Pot, which now tops $2,000.00.  CONGRATS Dewey on an impressive Win #1!!

Michael Carlile, who turns 72 next month, also hadn't bowled for the last 5 months.  His Tour return was also looking like it might be his first 'regular' Tour Victory.  His previous Championship was the very first Satellite Tournament, which took place in Port Angeles in 2012.  Michael's 812 total was still good enough for a nice $803.00 payday.  In 3rd, Phil Summers had his best finish to date, topping his previous best 4th Place finish.  Phil's strong 810 was the only other 800 series Saturday, good for a healthy $427.00 check.
