The Paradise Tournament produced our 22nd $2,000.00+ Champion of 2013.  The Top 6 finishers were ALL looking for their first Tour Singles Titles.  This week's Champion, retired Navy Vet Ganny Angeles, exploded from the packwith a spectacular final game, which was the highest handicapped game of the Tournament.  GREAT way to finish!  In September, Ganny came close to his first Singles Title when he had the lead going into the last squad at Imperial.  In June, he and Reynaldo Sta. Maria shared theDad's Day Doubles title at Skyway.  And on Vet's Day Weekend... he wasn't even going to bowl!  Operating on very little sleep, he decided he was too tired to bowl, until they decided that Charlyne would drive, so he could nap in the car.  I don't know if he was 'Sleep Walking' through that last game or just in that famous 'Zone', but you just don't get a better finish than a 313 game!  Ganny used his Storm Tropical Heat, drilled by Pat Johns at HiLine, for his amazing series.  He's headed to the Philippines for vacation in a few weeks and said that the $2,046.00 Winner's share +$360.00 in Vet's Pot cash, will come in handy.  CONGRATS Ganny..... Singles Title #1 and overall 2nd Title.

 

We thought Cal Fisher had his 1st Win with his great 1057 series, until Ganny shot that big last game.  The $918.00 2nd Place check pushes his very impressive career earnings to over $12,000.00 without benefit of that elusive Title.  Most IMPRESSIVE is Cal's THIRTEEN Top 5 finishes since 2008.  Taking advantage of his 'Hot Hand', Shawn Evans re-entered after a nice 989 series, topping it with an even Nicer 1054 for 3rd Place.  He also improved on his best previous finish (5th), with a healthy $490.00 payday. Marsha Williams 4th, Isaac Joseph 5th & Brenda Robinson 6thT all shot great 1000+ series and each was also seeking their first Title.
