As is usually the case, the bowler who finds themselves in that famous 'Zone'... Wins!  It doesn't matter whether the bowler's average is high, middle or low.  Last week our Winner was a middle average bowler, this week our Winner had a higher average.  "When you get Hot, you Win"!  That was never more true than Saturday at Hi Joy, when Carl Nichols got into a 'Groove' that may have been as deep as a valley.  Carl's second Title this year and 4th Career Win came in the 2nd squad and at the time, he was the only bowler to crack 1000, with his HUGE 1083.  Carl made the trip all the way down from Blaine (Canadian Border) a profitable one, with a Record Satellite payout of $1,716.00, that was even supplemented with an extra $180.00 from the Scratch Pot.  The fun part of the story is that Carl drilled his own ball (Storm IQ Pearl), in his new home workshop, on a workbench made from the old Lane #17 from Paradise Bowl (see picture).  In July 2012, Carl had a RARE feat, when he picked up a 7-10 split.  Since it was the very last Tournament on the old wooden lanes, they awarded him the actual Lane.  CONGRATS Carl on earning a rare Gold Champion Jersey!
