Hi-Joy Bowl was a GREAT host Saturday and they're determined to persuade the 9-Tap Tour to visit more frequently in the future.  With only two squads, the 95 entries (60-1st squad) easily surpassed the totals in the previous Satellite Tournaments.  Hi Joy's local bowlers made up more than 50% of the 19 bowlers on the Cash List, which also had a very diverse range of handicaps from -3 pins to 52 pins.  Considering that it was our first time on these lanes, the scoring was amazingly right within our 'ideal range', with a Cut-Line of 921.  Kitsap bowler Rhonda Samorawas the only person to string as many as 4-Taps this week, so she got the $100 Bonus from the (satellite) 9-Tap Jackpot.  HEADS-UP... next weeks Jackpot at Kent will be within $200 of it's All-Time High, at $9,662.00.

 

Magic Bristol returned to the Winner's Circle for the first time since 2007.  Back in 2007, Magic won at Tower Lanes with an excellent 1047 series, but earned only half of what he won thisweek.  6 years later he shot almost exactly the same score (1040), but earned Double the cash, taking home a healthy $1,608.00.  He also sweetened his haul by earning an extra $125.00 from the Scratch Pot.  He said the winnings would come in handy for his upcoming trip to Reno (to bowl) and to take partner Pam to Muckelshoot (no bowling center!?).  Magic used an Ebonite 'Complete Envy' for his Win, drilled by Pat Johns at HiLine Bowl.  Magic's quote of the day was, "I just felt really good today".  He sends his thanks to friend Steve for sanding and polishing his bowling balls and to partner Pam for changing her plans this weekend so they could bowl at Hi Joy.  CONGRATS Magic on your long overdue Win #2!!

 

Osmond Green also got into quite a groove, shooting his 2nd best ever series.  Obviously he also liked the conditions at Hi-Joy, riding his 1027 to a 2nd Place finish worth a nice $804.00.  Hi-Joy bowler Paul Mann was the only other bowler who topped 1000 Saturday.  His strong 1008 earned him $353.00 for his effort.
