![]() A light turnout at Texas Station did not discourage the competition in determining who would be the next Tour Champion. We paid out over$3,000.00 which included $100.00 to Hul Taing for his 4-Taps in the 9-Tap Jackpot. Next week the Jackpot will be at an all time high of $2,681.00. Seattle Members are getting spoiled as their Jackpot was hit AGAIN this week for $1177.00. More members are also taking advantage of the Progressive Pot as our Top 3 this week were all in again for the Pot at the $20 level. Corben Etteldorf had a shot at winning a $25 Gift Certificatefrom Texas Star Lanes by tossing a No-Tap 300 but came up short with an 8 count on his 12th shot. The Tour's next stop will be at Sunset Station celebrating Father's Day with a $5 High Handicap Game Pot for Dads only, adding a little extra sweetener to the day. The Tour will kick off the pot with $200.00 and pay at least 2 spots. So come on down to Sunset Strike Zone and become the next Champion of the 9-Tap Tour before we take a two week summer break. Read on for the Texas Station rundown:
Christopher Nichols and Bryan Tanudra set the bar at 11 am by posting scores of 963 and 960, respectively. Texas Station, however, has a history for yielding some high scores and with two squads to go it was a good bet these scores would be challenged. Greg Mamac, our 2nd Quarter Champion wasted no time in taking the lead away from Christoper by posting a 1002 with games of 238-247-222-295 on a re-entry at 1 pm. Not to be outdone, Tony Madolora, having joined the Tour just last week, posted his own 1010 series with games of 225-289-220-276. No one else was able to get dialed in to best Tony's score, thus our next Champion was crowned. With Tony taking 1st for $975.00 and Greg in 2nd place worth $436.00, who would take 3rd? Hul Taing, our Jackpot Winner, posted a 979 to take that honor. If it weren't for a 186 for his last game, the ending to this Tour stop might have been different. Hul cashed for $303.00 to add to his $100.00 jackpot payoff. Congratulations to all! Tony Madolora, having only returned to bowling in the last 2 years after taking a 20 year break from the sport, joined the Tour at the urging of his |
