Bowlero South Seattle

Total Paid Out: $9,405.00

Wrap Up
For the 2nd week in-a-row, we had a record setting turnout!  An AWESOME 153 entries took a shot at Bowlero-Acme Lanes, for the very popular "Best 3 of 4" format.  If this trend continues, the Tour will SHATTER all-time records in our 21st year!!!  As with last week, the scoring was nearly perfect, just very very slightly lower than normal at both the top and bottom of the Cash List.  Despite a huge number of BIG games, there was a shortage of bowlers putting multiple big ones together, with only series reaching the low 800's.  The low-to-cash of 712 produced a 3-way tie for 30th place, that actually added a 32nd spot to the Cash List.  The Top 3 places were so close, with only 10 pins separating 1st and 3rd.  The 9-Tap Jackpot has not taken a huge hit for a few weeks, this week getting off easy with three bowlers hitting just theFront-3 Taps.  Adam Steen, Jon Schneider and Brett Schaaf each collected a cool $30.00 for their effort.  As a result, the 9-Tap Jackpot EXPLODED to a massive $6,403.00 for the Angels of the Winds Tournament in two weeks.  That means that by reaching the $6,000.00 plateau, all ties for Consolation Bonuses will now be PAID-IN-FULL, including multiple bowlers hitting 7-Middle Taps, they'd all get the full $500.00.  We like to give kudos to bowlers who bowl their Personal Best or reach Milestones... Congrats to Chad Littleton who shot his very first 9-Tap 300 game.

This weeks Champion earned his 2nd Tour Title!  Ruong  Tang returned to the Winners Circle after first winning back in 2015.  Bowling all four squads, Ruong kept improving after each squad, finally finding a nice groove and firing a great 824 series.  Using his Storm Bowling ball, Ruong started his set with a sweet 297 game and benefited by getting to 'Throw-Out' a 169.  His only comment about his bowling was that he, "Just felt lucky"!!  He would like to thank his brother-in-law Thang Thai for his support.  Ruong also commented how much he loves the sport of bowling and the 9-Tap Tour.  His 1st Place check this week was a hefty $2,026.00, pushing his Career Prize Money total to $11,557.00.  Ruong joins the Elite $10,000.00 CLUB, which has just under 100 Members.  We may see the 100th Tour Member in the $10K Club very soon!!

Another heart breaker for our 2nd Place finisher, Michael Hallbach.  It looked like he might hang on to the lead after firing a nice 816 series in the second squad to take a 2-Pin lead, which held up through the 3rd Squad.  It just places that big old target on your back, as you have to wait to see if the score will hold up.  Michael did re-enter in the final squad, as he said he had that feeling his score might not hold up.  Michael seems to be heating up lately, with his 2nd place finish this week, following his 4th Place last week.  Almost doubling his career earning, Michael takes home a very nice check of $920.00.

Finishing in 3rd Place is Tour Hall-of-Fame Member Roland Jarata.  Just missing out on his 12th titleRoland shot a nice 814 series in the second squad and just hoped that his score would be enough to finish in the Top 3... IT DID!!!  Roland takes home a sweet check of $475.00, boosting his Career total to an enviable $50,939.00... #4 on the All-Time Tour Money List!
