The largest Doubles Tournament that we've had, saw 124 bowlers combine for 87 Doubles Teams and some GREAT scoring. 21 teams cracked 1000, several 300's and 8 members who took advantage of the "Multi-Cash", to get in the money 2 and 3 times. The Lawrence clan were all over the cash list, with Steve, Vicki & Sarah each cashing at least twice. Steve Lawrence also took the Dad's Day Pot with a great game of 316 (w/hdcp), good for $160, Michael Nucci's 302 took $80 and Gary King's 300 (no hdcp) was good for $40. All-in-all a very fun event, hopefully for everyone.

Last year, we had a Father and Son (Erik & Roy Akioka) win the Fathers Day weekend Doubles event. This year, at one point, we had a Mother and Daughter-in-Law (Vicki & Sarah Lawrence) in the lead, only to be bumped out of 1st by another family member. Two Dads take the Towers Doubles title, Steve Lawrence & Mike Reynolds. Mike is a long time Life Member, joining the Tour in January 2003 and has 5 Tour Titles. His last Title came in March 2006 and this is also his 2nd Doubles win. Steve joined in April 2007 and this will be his 2nd Tour Championship, the last coming in May 2007. The win is a GREAT turn-around for both Steve and Mike, who have had their struggles in 2008 up till now. Mike's share of the $1,320.00 for 1st will go toward an RV vacation and Steve said his was going toward gas for his boat. Steve used his Ebonite "Ice" from Corey Gardner at Secoma and Mike used a Brunswick "Red Zone" from Pat Johns at HiLine for the win. CONGRATULATIONS Steve and Mike!!

Steve also teamed with wife Vicki for 2nd place, and another $660, just 5 pins back. Vicki was looking for her 1st Title, but she said she was happy that is was her husband that beat her. Vicki made the board three times Saturday...2nd, 6th & 16th. Rich & Dawn Eaton took 3rd place and $370 for their best finish of the year.
