TOURNAMENT STORY
What a day!! CONGRATULATIONS to Mike Kravitz, who shot his first ever sanctioned 300 game, at age 62. He will get a 300 Ring from the USBC, and in addition, Precision Pro Shops + 9-Tap Tour will present Mike with a "300 Club" Jacket. Mike used his Ebonite "Matrix", that Dave drilled at the Bowlero Precision Pro Shop. James Jones, Jr came within one shot of a $4,334.00 Jackpot. He had the first 6 No-Tap Strikes, then threw #7 too well, getting a real strike and settling for a nice $500 Consolation Bonus.

What a Battle for the Title! Del Wiggins continued his Hot Streak with a nice 1052, giving him a huge lead, as the only person above 1000 after two squads. Carol Edwards came close, shooting her 1st +1000 set, ending with a 1035. Samson Ibale ripped off a fantastic 1072 in the 3rd squad and looked like he was pretty safe. But, in the last squad, a Red-Hot Ardie Budbill, coming off her best ever 1045 last week, came close. She got to the final frame with a shot to win it, but ended up just 8 pins short, with her new best 1064. Husband Buddy Budbill took a run at the Top spot, after slipping up in his 2nd game, he needed two big games just to catch Ardie. He came thru with a nice scratch 278 in the last game, but one 8 count shot left him short with a 1057. That created a rarity, with spouses finishing 2nd & 3rd. With all the big scoring, that created a pretty high cut score of 974, and left quite a few good scores just out of the money.

So, Samson Ibale hangs on for his 2nd Title in 2008. In March he won the EQC at Cascade Bowl. With member #11, obviously Samson is one of the original 9-Tap Tour members, joining in 2002. He becomes the 1st person to win 6 career Titles. $1,600.00 more gets added to his career earnings. Samson gets to choose his own color for his Champion shirt, we thought Polka Dots would be unique, but that didn't appeal to him. Ardie Budill takes $725.00 for 2nd and Buddy get another $410.00 for 3rd.
