A One-Day Tournament record 119 entries struggles with a tough 'house shot' at Hillcrest Saturday. Nobody even cracked 800 for the day and for the second straight week, the Champion was NOT in the Progressive Pot. The record $2,782.00 Pot now jumps to a NEW RECORD $3,667.00 More than double the size of a normal Pro Pot. You can guess what that means for the next event at Narrows Plaza, March 1st. The record just set at Hillcrest may not last long. A fully vested Champion at Narrows could win OVER $2,800!!!!

 Eric Svenningsen was the member who rose above the tough conditions, to take the title. He shot in the 2:30 squad, so he wasn't available at the end of the Tournament, to give us his bio. Eric's story and picture, will be on the website as soon as we receive it. I do know that Eric bowls at Majestic Lanes in Lynnwood and that certainly wouldn't have helped him on the wood lanes at Hillcrest. We'll have to find out his secret. Congratulations Eric!!

 Continuing her hot shooting, Shannon Altona took 2nd place, despite having lost 17 pins of handicap in her last few Tournaments. She and Eric had a nice spread over the pack, with 3rd being a hefty 31 pins back. Shannon takes home a HUGE $1,056.00 for 2nd place. 3rd place paid a nice $424.00 to newcomer Danny Bratcher. Danny was one of 12 new members joining us this weekend, also coming in on a "Hot Streak", having won another local Tournament last weekend.
