Thanks to all of you that traveled to support our farthest north Tournament to date. 93 entries made for a successful weekend and some great stories. For the first-time, the Top 2 seeds met in the Final Match of the Bracket Finals. The Top Qualifier, Jim King, shot a blistering 1068 on Saturday, winning the $100 bonus and earning the Top Qualifier jacket. On Sunday, Kevin Nagasawa came within ONE PIN (1067) to take the #2 seed. Kevin shot an 857 in his first entry on Saturday, but came back on Sunday to shoot the 1067. He continued his 'Sunday hot streak' in the Bracket Finals and rode it all the way to the title, for a $1275 payday ($900 + $370).

This was Kevin's first 9-Tap Tour victory, which goes right along with his successes as a Junior Bowler. He was first introduced to the Tour at the "Bowl with Dad" Tournament at Hillcrest Bowl in June. Kevin's father Jon also made it to the Finals Sunday and came within one game of facing Kevin head-to-head in the 3rd round. We asked him how he felt during the matches. He said he was excited and just felt like he got "In The ZONE". Kevin used his Ebonite SR300, from Pat Johns HiLine Pro Shop, to achieve his hot streak. He is bowling in three leagues at HiLine, Kent & Cascade Lanes. As a typical college student, he enjoys XBox, Myspace, AOL and going to Mariner games. His plan is to put his winnings in the bank. Tech City was very complimentary about the Tour and our members. They have offered to have us back and we'll set something up for after the holidays.
