Leo Harris & Champion Sunny Rude

Paradise Lanes and Casino hosted the first ever 9-Tap Tour tournament. Sunny Rude dominated the field of 114 entries on what summed up to be challenging lane conditions. Her score was the only one to break the 1100 mark with her total of 1112. Sunny earned $1,000.00 for the win and $1,000.00 from the progressive pot. Leo Harris won $500.00 for 2nd place barely beating 3rd place finisher Ray Israel. Mill Middleton took 4th and Pete Fleishcer took 5th. Low cashing score was 934. Our new progressive pot total for our tournament at Daffodil Lanes June 8th & 9th is $1,335. Sunny Rude also won the prepaid high game award for $150.00. The second prepaid high game award for $100.00 went to Larry Fettig. The total paid out at Paradise Lanes was $5,945.00.

Dick Wilder, Tong Nguyen, and Greg Wolf each won a bowling ball.

The tournament ran pretty smooth considering it was a first. Congratulations to the few bowlers that broke the 300 mark. There was one scratch 300; the others were with handicap. There are patches for perfect no-tap games (all 9-tap strikes) as well as patches for handicap 300s. We have 125 attractive gold plated 9-Tap Tour key chains for outstanding achievements. Some have 300 inscribed on them. Bowlers may also earn eligible ABC/WIBC awards, as we do have a comprehensive sanctioning for our modified format. Some of the Sanctioned awards are 11 in a row, a regular scratch 300 game, 7-10 splits, etc. Also, for our opening tournaments, while supplies last we have other prizes. (9-Tap Tour Windbreakers, bowling floor mats, ball bags, bowling key chains, and other items.) Denise and Ron (owners) are trying hard to figure out ways for all bowlers to have fun and win money (or win something). We believe the guaranteed prize structure is excellent, but 9-TAP TOUR is working on other ways to create excitement. If you have any ideas, there is always a suggestion box in the check-in office or by the bracket table. (Or speak to Denise or Ron)

9-TAP TOUR would like to apologize for the delay in printing out the checks at the end of the tournament; we can only get faster. (No way can it take longer)! We also want our members to know that our bracket table had some confusion but thanks to your feedback, everything should be up to snuff by our Daffodil tournament. We apologize if you were inconvenienced.

Our warmest thanks are extended to those who helped us to get started. Special thanks for Char Patton who signed up first and helped pass out our applications. Also, thanks Roy Conner for being our first member to enter and pay Sat. Morning May 18th. (Also Roy did a nice job finishing 8th).

Finally, we want everyone to know how much this tournament means to us. We intend to make it a premier event. With your help, we can accomplish this goal.
