BOB ROUSE WINS TITLE AND 40% OF PROGRESSIVE POT AT KENMORE LANES IN BOTHELL!

BOB ROUSE WINS AT KENMORE LANES & CASINO

Bob Rouse after 10 years of bowling in various tournaments, finally earned a championship. Bob, who joined 9-TAP TOUR when we began in May, 2002, earned $1,000 for 1st place and also picked up a check from our progressive pot for $586. Our new progressive pot total for our tournament at West Seattle Bowl July 20th & 21st is $1,390. Bob has bowled in 4 of our tournaments but he liked the conditions at Kenmore Lanes, and with only 57 entries his score of 1099 held up easily for the win. MacArthur Brown took 2nd place for $500 with his score of 1068. Low to cash was 989. Prepaid high game winners were Red Gobel ($100), Danny Nudelman ($60), Jack E. Smith ($50), and Lola Eberle won the senior’s award for ($40). John Ford won a drawing for a 9-TAP TOUR windbreaker. We will be having free drawings at W. Seattle Bowl, compliments of Norm Giannusa, (owner-operator of PRECISION BOWLING SERVICES & SUPPLIES) for a Storm Bowling Ball and an AMF Cold Fusion Bowling Ball.

Bob started bowling about 15 years ago. He stated he bowls for the fun of it but it was definitely more fun winning. For the tournament, he used a Brunswick Ball drilled by Pat Johns of Hiline Lanes, in Burien. Bob bowls at Sun Villa in Bellevue during the fall leagues and bowls 9-TAP TOUR tournaments during the summer. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills and put aside some money for more 9-TAP TOUR tournaments. Bob says bowling 9-Tap Tour is a great idea for those who just want to have fun for a couple of hours. He wanted to thank 9-TAP owners Ron & Denise for organizing the tournaments. Bob had many kind words for 9-TAP Tour but the bottom line is, he will be back to defend his title this week at West Seattle Bowl. His average goes up 10 pins but that didn’t seem to bother him as he still likes his chances. “Anything can happen in 9-tap bowling, strikes can come easy, and with a couple of breaks, anyone can win.”

Bob wanted to dedicate his win to his father, who passed away. (in 1990).

9-TAP TOUR would like to congratulate Bob Rouse for his victory, and all the other bowlers who cashed. We also would like to thank all the bowlers who came to the Kenmore Lanes Tournament. We paid 14 places at Kenmore which is 1 in 4. We look forward to seeing Bob and everyone else this weekend at W. Seattle Bowl. And if Bob can win twice in a row, that proves his theory that in 9-tap tournaments, anything can happen.

Reminder, this week there are 3 squads Saturday (11, 1, & 3:30) & 2 squads on Sunday (1 & 3).
