Sunset Strike Zone Excitement, 

Once again, our compliments to Jerry and his crew at Sunset Station Strike Zone for another great day of bowling.  

We did cancel the first squad for minimal number of entries at yesterday’s tournament.  Turned out to be a good choice, as the second squad numbers came through.  Followed by an outstanding third squad to give us the number of entries we have been seeing.  We once again signed up new members, 5 last week and another 7 this week, so the new memberships are still rolling in.  

Since bringing the 9-Tap Tour back to the Vegas area, we have crowned 14 first time champs and 2 members have the crown twice.  This is outstanding odds for any first-time winner. 

Our scores yesterday were very impressive with a low to make the cash list at 777 and a high of 891.  This was some great bowling even having 5 bowlers per pair in the last squad.  Once again, our cash list shows the HDCP from a low of 4 pins to a high of 47 pins making this week’s list, along with 3 first time bowlers just signing up yesterday. 

Our cash list was so close by all on Sunday, Outstanding rolling by all this week, and all the great conversations.  

Everyone has a great chance of winning or placing on the cash list each week.

Sunday at Sunset Station Strike Zone, we crowned another first time Champion.  The person has only rolled in 2 Tournaments so far.  His wife Alexis brought him to bowl and now sounds like he is hooked.  Mark De Mesa wasn’t supposed to bowl yesterday, his mom came in asking questions.  She signed up before her Daughter in law came into bowl with us.  We ask Mark’s mom if he was going to bowl as well, she told us “NO!”  Mark is going to baby sit today so they could bowl.  Surprise Mom, Mark came to compete with his wife and mom, lol!  In his words, He has never placed in a tournament before.  We had a feeling it was going to happen when after his second game Mark was at 564 scratch and ending up with a very nice 891 total.  He laced up his shoes, slide in using his Track Theorem, Drilled by KC over at JB Bowling Supply.   Mark rolls league at Southpoint and plans on taking his kids to Disneyland with his winnings.  Mark had his mom, which is a new member rolling her first tournament, with his wife and kids cheering him on.  He works as a Technician in an auto shop.  Mark loves meeting new people while bowling in the 9-Tap Tour and says we have a great tournament.  He also likes to enjoy his other hobbies besides bowling, like hiking, Watching Sports, Muay Thai, Boxing, Building Cars, and Hanging out with his family.  Way to go Mark, very nice bowling.  Your mom was on your tail trying to beat you as she told us, lol. 

Our second-place winner, just signed up yesterday.  Says he really enjoyed bowling with us and how challenging it is.  Melvin Wimberley just signed up at the noon squad, having a smile all day enjoying himself.  Melvin only rolling in the noon squad rolled a very nice 863 for the day, having the lead until Marks outstanding turnout.  Thank you, Melvin, for the conversation and outgoing personality. 

Coming in the third-place spot in an old member, joining the tour back in May of 2016.  Congrats, Joey Pacheco, on placing in the top 3.  Joey hasn’t place higher than 4th with us, according to the old records.  Joey had an outstanding day yesterday as well, competing for the top spot only missing 2nd by 13 pins
