Wrap Up

Biggest turnout to date at Suncoast

First is to thank everyone at SuncoastBecky and her crew had a very busy day Saturday.  They rocked at making sure things ran smoothly.  The center was full all day not only with our record number of entries, but also the juniors and open bowling.

All of us here at the 9-Tap are excited to say you all are the best.  Our numbers for Saturday are outstanding to date.  We had 88 Total entries with only 1 comp, and 19 re-entries for the entire day.  Making a 22% re-entry, 68% one-time entries, giving us a 99% ratio.  With all this we also signed up another outstanding 20 new members.

Everyone will also be happy/excited that both our Progressive Pot jumped to a very nice $1230.00, along with our 9-Tap Jackpot has grown to a very nice $1868.00.  We did have 2 long time members Richard Wash and Greg Mamac, knocking off the 3-way tie for the front 3. Both falling short getting the front 4 to split the $100.  Saturday our low to cash was 933 all the way to top it off at 1029.

This week’s cash list has 5 new members just signing up yesterday, up to 8 total new members from the last two weeks on it this week.

At Suncoast on Saturday, we crowned a brand-new first-time champion from Hawaii, we did ask if he was part of the Hawaii region.  He let us know that he wasn’t as the tour was on a different island than he is.

Congratulations, goes out to Lance Ham, from Mt View, HI.  Lance just joined the tour Feb. 24th, 2024, at Suncoast and has never had a best finish in any tournament before.  He came in laced up his shoes got out his Global 900 drilled at K&K inside Suncoast. With all 4 games counting yesterday, Lance’s low game was 176 to make an outstanding total score of 1029 to top the cash list.  He bowls at  a alley near Volcano, HI on Tuesday mornings! (He didn't give a name to the house).  He says he doesn’t have any special plans for his winnings, he just had fun.  Lance is one of the lucky ones and is Retired and bowling is his favorite hobby.  We asked him if he was nervous, “He said, a little and feels very lucky for winning.  He didn’t think he was going to win the tournament.  Congrats, again Lance on your great day of rolling.

Our 2nd place winner lives around Sacramento, Ca.  He only comes to Vegas 3-4 times a year maybe.  He brought his son to bowl with us trying to cheer him up from some gloom at the TAT.  Way to go on your first tournament with us Doug Stockton on rolling a nice 1011 yesterday, and for the great conversation we had.

Once again, a brand-new member just signing up yesterday taking our 3rd place spot is Jarod Griffeth.  He came in and rolled a nice 1007 for a nice finish in his first tournament with us.

Our HDCP to make the cash list is still a very nice Diversity of low to high, ranging from pins this week up to 53 pins.

We are now up to a outstanding 309 active members.  Now imagine if you all were at one tournament together.
